The hands of the master, Renoir-Guino

The documentary ‘ the hands of the Master, Renoir-Guino ‘ pays attention to the sculpture. The sculpture as the creation of a three dimensional work in clay, wax or plaster and further casted in for example bronze. The sculpture can also been from marble or wood and so to say slashed. This documentary describes the career of the sculptor Richard Guino and inquires the viewer about his personallity, his craftmanship and the meeting with Pierre August Renoir.

Specially the personal relationship between the both artists is illustrated and the so called ‘creative spark’ concerning the process of creation in the sculpture.

An interaction between the creative thought and the creation of the form by the handicraft of manual labour.
