Southern Bohemia is one of the most beautiful parts of Bohemia, favorite place of former Czech royalty, with plenty of charming baroque and renaissance churches, castles, cathedrals and also a very sofisticated system of man-made lakes, build in the 16th century by architect Jakub Krcin, well known person of Czech history, called econom of renaisance. He was also one of the Mayors in the southern Bohemian city, Cesky Krumlov, which was an important culture centre in the 15th century.
